The Gemstone and Spiny Oyster Trail
I've decided to start a blog about individuals and their stories involving traveling the world and hunting for Gemstones and Shells . Including tips, pitfalls and strategies in negotiation and insuring you are buying the real deal. Comments about customs, localities and the negotiations that go on in the purchasing of gemstones and Shells from the "locals". In my first story I will tell you about my adventure in 1976 going to look for Black Opal in Honduras. Please feel free to comment about your adventures. I will also tell you about my times acquiring Spiny Oyster. We will also give some history and discussion on the origins of certain Gemstones.
